About Blue-Green Energy, LLC

Formed in 2010, Blue Green Energy, LLC is a full service project development company established to deliver safe and reliable clean power generation for customers seeking off-grid, residential, commercial, and utility-scale renewable energy solutions. To date, the majority of business transacted by Blue Green Energy has been “green-field” utility-scale solar farm development in the U.S. However, the aspiration for Blue Green Energy is to identify and promote innovative energy solutions that deliver reliable clean power, enhance microgrid integration, and advance sustainability.

The status quo is central power generation with monopolistic command and control limiting consumer options for clean power production and consumption. However, as clean tech continues to evolve and improve, consumers will have more options to produce clean power on site and benefit from local community microgrids that simply outperform status quo “dumb & dirty” power generation.

Mr. McLaughlin is a conscientious entrepreneur with 25 years of international business experience in corporate finance, filmed entertainment, and renewable energy.  As Managing Partner and Founder of Blue Green Energy, LLC, Mr. McLaughlin has developed and funded more than 25 utility-scale solar farm projects across North America in Ontario, Canada, the U.S., and the Caribbean representing more than $350 million in structured finance forrenewable energy.  Mr. McLaughlin is also hands-on with project development and directly involved in site selection, lease negotiation, project planning, local permitting, environmental studies, utility interconnection, power purchase agreement execution, regulatory compliance, and project due diligence to ensure timely start of construction and commissioning to facilitate clean power generation on behalf of institutional investors.

Mr. McLaughlin served his country as an Attack Helicopter Pilot in the US Army and is a graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Aeronautics and Masters of Business Administration from California State University Northridge.  He lives in Orlando, Florida with his wife and three kids.
